A lasting partnership built on consistency, trust, and love for the arts.
LAByrinth Theater
about the projectLAByrinth Theater Company was founded in 1992 by a small group of actors who wanted to push their artistic limits, and tell more inclusive stories that expanded the boundaries of mainstream theater. Like many nonprofit arts organizations, LAByrinth Theater Company relied on the passionate efforts of their members to keep their digital presence running. The result was a website built with care but lacking the visual consistency their company deserved.

the approachRather than starting from scratch, I worked closely with the artistic director and took my cues from the work LAB's in-house designer was already producing. The goal was alignment, not reinvention — strengthening what existed and bringing greater consistency to their web presence without losing the visual identity their team had worked hard to establish.

the solutionI refined their website to bring typography and color into closer alignment with their existing brand, then transitioned into an ongoing on-call relationship — available to update content, refresh pages, and keep the site current as their programming evolves.
the outcomeFour years in, LAByrinth has a website that stays current without their team having to think about it. (Client testimonial coming soon.)
